Hiking pants brands
A brand name is a starting point. The cut, fabric and details belong to the individual model.

12 model guidesStart with a model family, then narrow the fit
Use this directory when you recognize a maker but still need to choose among its pants. A brand can offer lightweight walking trousers, heavier trekking designs and separate rain layers. The name on the waistband does not tell you which construction you are considering. Open a brand to see the model guides available here, or choose the single model shown for a maker with one entry.
For example, Outdoor Research Ferrosi and Cirque III address different clothing decisions. Compare their documented features and intended uses before treating them as alternatives for the same outing. The prAna Stretch Zion and Brion comparison instead asks how pocket layout and styling fit your day. A familiar brand can narrow your search, but it should not replace those model-level questions.
Keep generations and listing options separate
Read the complete model name, including words such as Utility, Convertible, Lined or II. These can distinguish versions with different construction. A review of an earlier garment does not establish the specifications of a current listing. Each model page shows the exact Amazon listing choices represented in our catalog; check the size, color and description of the option you open.
The model count beside a brand counts our model guides. It does not count every size and color as a separate design, and it is not a measure of quality. A maker with fewer entries may still offer the shape you need. If you have no brand preference, start with the shopping collections or pants finder, then return here to compare the relevant families.
For a closer decision, read Ferrosi versus Cirque III or Stretch Zion versus Brion. Both explain specific model choices rather than ranking every product from one company against another.
