HikingPants.net is a reading and product-comparison site. The current site has no account registration, checkout or contact form.

Interactive tools

The pants finder filters catalog information in your browser. The fit check processes measurements in your browser. If you choose Save on this device, the tool stores those measurements in your browser’s local storage. They are not sent to a HikingPants.net application database. Use Clear saved measurements to remove that local record. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to access saved values.

External images and links

Product images load from external image hosts. Requests to those hosts can disclose normal connection information, such as an IP address and browser headers. Opening an Amazon or manufacturer link takes you to a separate site with its own privacy practices. Amazon links contain an affiliate tracking identifier.

Hosting

The hosting provider may process connection and request information needed to deliver and secure the site. The current site code does not add an advertising pixel or a third-party analytics script. That does not mean the hosting provider or linked websites collect no technical data.

You can browse the guides without saving measurements. Browser controls can clear local storage or restrict third-party requests, although those settings may affect images or optional tool features.
